In the state of Florida, SNAP benefits are distributed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).
In addition, there is no single date on which all SNAP benefits are issued.
Instead, benefits are sent out over a 28-day period every month, based on the 9th and 8th digits of your Florida case number (READ BACKWARDS), dropping the 10th digit.

Food Stamps: September Benefits for Florida Recipients
All SNAP households should receive their September benefits according to schedule.

You can use your Florida SNAP benefits to shop online, at participating grocery stores, including on Amazon.
Additionally, you can use SNAP benefits to purchase produce at farmers’ markets, including markets that offer double bucks.
Florida Sen. Rick Scott proposes new requirements for SNAP benefits
Florida Sen. Rick Scott wants to go back to pre-pandemic rules for food stamps eligibility.
The U.S. Senator is proposing a bill he claims will motivate people to return to the workforce.
Scott’s proposed “Let’s Get to Work Act of 2022” would impact those who use SNAP.
It would end the current work requirements for SNAP introduced during the pandemic as part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
Additionally, it would also make changes to the Food and Nutrition Act (FNA) of 2008.
Senator Scott says “Able-bodied Americans ought to be part of the capitalist system, be part of having skin in the game, pay the taxes—when you have a job you pay the income taxes and payroll taxes, when you buy things you pay sales taxes, when you buy a house you pay property taxes. We’ve got to get this country back to work.”
Before the pandemic, FNA’s provisions limited eligibility with a work requirement.
For example Able Bodied Adults without children were ineligible if they had received benefits for three or more months in that time frame while not working at least 20 hours per week.
Applicants also had to be either 60-years-old, or have dependents who were in their care.
When COVID hit, the work requirements and age requirements changed.
Applicant age requirements were lowered from 60 to 50, and work requirements were waived as the economy shrank due to the challenges of COVID-19.
