The program provides those eligible and approved individuals or households with monthly food assistance benefits that are distributed via a debit-like electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card. In order to receive food assistance benefits in Florida, you must first pass an eligibility screening. Eligibility for food assistance benefits is based off monthly income, expenses, and household size. The Florida Food Stamp program is administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Does Walmart accept EBT card for Food Stamps in Florida?
According to Walmart, it is their policy to accept food stamps, administered in the form of an electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card, at all retail locations across the United States. To answer our question, yes, Walmart does accept EBT card for Food Stamps in Florida. This policy only applies to purchases made at Walmart in-store. Currently, you are not able to make purchases online at walmart.com and check out using your EBT card.
However, it has been in talks that Walmart may be changing their policy to accept EBT online as well. This is in an effort to compete with Amazon’s new EBT policy that is currently being piloted in select states.
